Setting:

No one to turn to....
But God
BAM!!! The Door slammed shut, making 14-year-old Missy jump. “Ssh! Cyril! Sorry, Missy.” Said the 7-year-old boy, who, it seemed, could never be quite. ” Missy, Were are we going?” Said little 3-year-old Sara.” I’m not sure, “said Missy, looking up, ”Gordon?” “All I know is that were getting away from here, as fast as we can.” said 16-year-old Gordon. “ Good. Said 4-year-old John Mark. “I don’t like it here.” “ Neither do we, John.” Said Missy in a determined voice. “Now, let’s get out of here! Said Madelyn, a very straight and to the point 8-year-old“ Gordon scooped up John Mark, grabbed Cyril’s hand, made sure Missy had Sara and Madelyn, and started running.
“We have no one to turn to now.” Said Missy starting to run. “Except God.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Missy, I' m thirsty." Said Sara. "Gordon, do you think we can stop now? The sun is coming up". Said Missy trying to sound cheerful for the younger ones. "I suppose so, we probably covered about 5 miles last night, I think it's time to rest." "Oh, good." Said Madeline. the babies are gettin
g tired." "Everyone," said Missy" start looking for a place were we can sleep." Yes, and look for water
too, " said Gordon, looking at Sara. "Look over there!" Said Cyril. "it's a haystack!" "Great Idea, Cyril!" Said Gordon, starting to move that way. "Waite!" Said Madelyn runn
ing up. "We can't sleep there!" "And why not? Said Cyril, hands on his hips. "It's a haystack, She said looking pleadingly to Missy. "We can't sleep there, it isn't proper " "Well, would you rather sleep in that barn over there?" Said Gordon w
ith a twinkle in his eye. " Well, I suppose I could sleep there once." Good!" Said John Mark. I want you to sleep with me, not with the chickens." '"Alright, now that that is settled," Said Missy. "let's go!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Now, Everyone, make a bed out of this nice, clean, straw" Said Missy. "Alright!" The little ones chorused. When everyone had made their bed, John Mark said "I'm reeeelly hungry!" "Me too!" Said Sara. "Well...I know! Gordon, you take these two shillings, and go see if that house a way's back wants to sell a loaf of bread." "Cyril, you go to that house over there, and see if they want to give you some water, take John Mark with you too, now go!" Gordon and Cyril raced off, their growling stomachs giving them motivation. "Now that their gone, you know what were going to do?" What? What? The little girls asked. "Were going to go pick the berries I saw on the road on the way here!" "Oh, Goodie!" The girls squealed. By the time the boys got back, to their great delight they saw that the girls had their aprons full of raspberries "YAHOO!!!!!!" Yelled Cyril. "Were Going to EAT!!!!!!"

The Author....
when a friend said to her, "
Why have you never written a book?"
"I am writing two," was the quiet reply."Have been engaged on one for ten years,
the other five."

"You surprise me," cried the friend,
"what profound works they must be!"
"It doth not appear yet what they shall be,"
was her reply, "but when He makes up His jewels,
my great ambition is to find them there."
"Your children?" I asked.
"Yes, my two children. They are my life work."

IS IT REALLY TRUE?

Thursday, February 19, 2009
1. Do you know Him?
2. Do you walk with Him?
3. Do you talk with Him?
4. Do you sing for Him?
5.Do you live for Him?
DO YOU LOVE HIM?
If you answered yes…..
1. Why don’t you serve Him?
2. Why don’t you tell of Him?
3. Why don’t you have a ministry?
4. Why don’t you tell your friends?
5. Why?
Those were called the the 5 Do’s, and the 5 Why’s…….
What is your answer?
